The Association cooperated with Commercial Law Development Program of the U.S. Department of Commerce (CLDP) and the Center for Education of Judges and Prosecutors of Federation of BiH in 2015 to organize a training and workshop for judges on international commercial arbitration. The short-term goal was to provide judges with an understanding of what arbitration is, and what the powers and roles of the national courts are, in relation to the arbitration proceedings. The long-term goal was to increase the awareness and sensitivity of judges towards arbitration. As a continuation of this initiative, the Association cooperated with the High Judicial and Prosecutors Council in BiH (HJPC) in 2015 to gain access to arbitration-related case law of courts in BiH. The project resulted in a report Analysis of the Arbitration Relates Court Practice (2016) providing an in-depth analysis of judgments and decisions made in arbitration-related court disputes. The Association is currently implementing the second phase of the project; an updated report is expected to be finalized beginning of 2020.
